Hi there,
I am so happy you are here! I’m Mae, a Registered Dietitian based in Boston, MA. I was born a foodie. Growing up, my parents loved to experiment in the kitchen and they were constantly exposing our family to new foods and flavors. This got me excited about food at a young age and made me start thinking about not only how to create delicious meals, but also how to properly fuel our bodies. I learned early on that our relationship with food can be quite complex. This realization led me to pursue the field of nutrition as my career.
I am currently a Senior Dietitian at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. I spend my days providing comprehensive, evidence based nutrition recommendations to oncology patients to help maintain or improve their nutrition status. I am also a board certified nutrition support clinician and work with patients who require tube feeding or TPN (IV nutrition). I absolutely love my job and find it extremely rewarding to be able to form relationships with my patients and their care givers during such a challenging time in their lives.
When I come home from work, the kitchen is my happy place. It’s a place I can be creative and let the stress of the day fade away. I created this website as a way to share some of my favorite recipes and some helpful nutrition information to inspire you to live a healthy, well-balanced life.
