Seared Scallops

Ingredients
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • 6 sea scallops, patted dry
Instructions
  1. Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet (I used my cast iron) over medium-high heat.
  2. Generously salt and pepper the scallops.
  3. Once the butter/oil combination is hot, gently add the scallops to the skillet, making sure they are not touching.
  4. Sear scallops for 1 and ½ minutes on each side. Do not touch them while they are searing.
  5. Serve immediately.
